Nintendo’s Mario has died.
On December 11, 2020, Mario has died. Mario, otherwise known as Super Mario, has tragically fallen victim to what some consider as a nightmare. Sephiroth from the famous installment in the Final Fantasy series, Final Fantasy VII, has killed Mario.
Mario, better known as Super Mario, was a beloved character known primarily in his role in Nintendo’s Super Mario series, made his first appearance in Donkey Kong in 1983, but made an appearance in his own game known as Super Mario Bros. in 1985. With over 200 games under his belt, Mario, sometimes referred to as Super Mario, has made his footprint in the gaming world as the one and only Italian superstar who kills mushrooms and saves the same woman over and over. Super Mario has died many times before in the past, an example being the Ridley reveal incident (June 12, 2018), Galeem Massacre (2018) and the Dharkon Slaughter (December 8, 2018).
It is difficult to pinpoint many of the internal drives to bring death to the beloved Super Mario; scientists are still researching this phenomenon to this very day but have had little to no results or evidence to understand why this has happened yet again. Better yet, it is even less known why it is LET to happen yet again, regardless of the knowledge that Mario is a key target in the cruel, confusing world that we live in.
Mario, referred to by some as Super Mario, is leaving behind a loving, beautiful family and group of friends after his death. The late plumber was brother to the Super Mario Brother known as Luigi. Found in the shadow of Mario most of the time, Luigi consistently always had the back of his brother in any adventure at any time. Luigi even found himself in his own adventures such as Luigi’s Mansion (1–3), Super Luigi Bros. U, and Dr. Luigi for the Nintendo Wii U.
Mario is also leaving behind the pink colored damsel always in distress, Princess Peach. Without Princess Peach, Mario would have never been the man we came to know and love him to be. Princess Peach seems to always find herself in the hands of the infamous Koopa King, Bowser. Fortunately, Super Mario comes along and assists the princess of toadstools and saves the Mushroom Kingdom every time. If it were not for the necessity to rescue Princess Peach, Mario would not have been the hero that billions of people around the world have come to know and love.
The Mushroom Kingdom, no, the world has lost a man of valor on the evening of December 11, 2020. The world, no, the universe will forever mourn the death of our fallen champion. There shall be songs written about this hero of Italy, as they should, and the future will still hear the deafening echoes of the legend of Super Mario.

They say the Legend of Zelda, but it should rather be the Legend of Mario. Nobody expected our noble universal cheerleader, Super Mario, to perish in such a way at 37 years old.
Wait, Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII did not kill Mario, also known as Super Mario in some situations?
This is big news, and I’m very excited about this. I can’t wait for Mario 2.
